Linux
Mediasite supports on-demand and live presentation playback on Linux. In order to play back Mediasite content we recommend the following:
- Chrome or Firefox browser.
- VLC Media Player (to install H.264 codecs)
Login FAQ
Q: Site login displays "You are logged in on another device or browser. Click Confirm to continue. This will log you out elsewhere."
A: Click the "Confirm" button. If this does not log you out or if the system keeps displaying this prompt, make sure you are not logged in on multiple other browsers. A quick way to ensure this is to clear your cache. See below for instructions based on your browser.
Q: How do I clear my cache?
A: Chrome
- On your computer, close any chrome window you previously had open and then open a brand new Chrome window.
- At the top right, click More .
- Click More tools Clear browsing data.
- At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
- Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
- Click Clear data.
A: Firefox
- Click the menu button and select "Settings."
- Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section.
- Click the "Clear Data…" button. The Clear Data dialog will appear.
- Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content should both be check marked.
- Click "Clear."
A: Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge, select Menu (3 dots icon on top right corner of the browser) > Settings > Privacy & services
- Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.
- Select "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data" check box and then select Clear.
A: Safari
- From the home screen, Select Settings > Safari.
- At the bottom of Safari's settings screen, Select Clear cookies and data or Clear Cookies and Clear Cache.
- Confirm when prompted.
